Fall Festivities

Like usual I have my pictures in the wrong order. These two little ones are impossible to take pictures of. Sadly this is the best picture of I could get. This was the finished pumpkin carving product. I just love Addie's piggie tails. I think she looks so grown up.
It would not be Halloween if we did not go pumpkin picking at Huber Farm. Kasen had fun getting pulled to the pumpkin patch.
Patiently waiting to carve these pumpkins.
In the pumpkin patch.

Just a random picture of Addie playing at the playground of our Zoo. I will be posting Halloween pictures soon. I am just behind as always! Hope you all had a Happy Halloween!

A quick update

Why does it seem like the older you get the faster time goes by. I can't believe it has already been a month since my last post! We have been enjoying Kyle's senior year. This last week we went to Louisville's annual Boo at the ZOO. It was sad to think it was out last Boo at the ZOO. The Louisville Zoo decorates the entire place with Halloween decorations. Each area has a different theme. They have Shrek's swamp, Pirates of the Caribbean boat, the Disney princesses, and of course Superheros. They have booths set up with all the Different characters and you trick or treat. This year Kasen loved it! He has been begging to go back to the Zoo and get candy.
I think I picked the wrong costume for Addie. Everyone thought she was a boy:) I was just worried about her being cold.
Kyle had his first Oral Surgery Interview in Iowa City. While he was interviewing I accidentally stumbled into a Children's Museum. It was no Tree House Museum in Ogden, but the kids still had a good time.
The last couple weeks have been crazy. Kyle has gotten 15 interviews so far. We never anticipated that he would get so many. So we could end up anywhere from Boston to Seattle. We will see:)

Addie's 1st brithday

These pictures did not organize how I had planned. So bear with me. We had such a fun birthday with Addie. The poor thing had a ear infection, and despite all that she was so sweet all day. She got some really fun presents from grandma's, nana, aunts, and uncles.
She has loved her baby stroller. So cute!
Her cake when we finally had to take it away! I could not believe how much she ate!
This is her adorable outfit that Grandma Tracy made her. She looked so cute in it!
After she was all finished with the cake.

Addie is the big ONE!!!

Seriously were has the time gone!! I am sitting here wondering how Addie could possibly be one already! I am not ready for her to grow up and start toddling around. She has been such a sweet lovable addition to our family! Some things that we have learned and love about Addie over this last year are:
1) She is feisty. She can hold her own with Kasen. She can throw some nasty hooks, and what Kasen calls, "Puma kicks."
2) She is a mommy's girl (Yes, I totally love this)!
3) She travels in stealth mode around the house. She has this amazing ability magically move from one room to the next in a matter of seconds. I get distracted for one second and she is on her way to unwind the toilet paper.
4) She loves bananas
5) She loves to swim
6) She is very dramatic. Addie has scared us to death this year when she started holding her breath and then passing out. She loses her temper, screams, and then holds her breath until she turns completely blue followed by going unconscious. This now occurs at least weekly!
7) She loves to cuddle
8) She is great at playing peek-a-boo
HAPPY BIRTHDAY BABY GIRL!

What we have been up too!

Kasen and Zac at Water Front Park. They are little buddies!

This summer seems to have flown by. I cannot believe that it is almost mid-September! I am excited for the fall. I love when the leaves change color and the weather cools down a bit. It is surreal to think that this is our last fall in Louisville. We have 8 months left until we move and I have a mixture of emotions. I am anxious to see were life takes us next, so so so sad that I am going to have to say goodbye to so many wonderful friends. Kyle has finished his applications for his Oral Surgery Residency and now we are just waiting to hear back from the schools. They start interviewing for positions around the holidays. We don't actually find out were we are going until January, so for now we don't have the slightest clue were we will end up in the next year. It is a little nerve racking! We have had such a fun summer. Here are the last of my pictures. Enjoy!
Kabe, Harlee, and Addie at the Zoo Splash Park
Group shot not the best but what can you do!
Kasen and Addie
Kasen, Brielle, and Ellie eating a picnic after biking at Bernheim Forest
April, Brinn, and Me getting ready for our bike ride at Bernheim. We look pretty hot in those helmets;)
Family bike ride with the Kings at Water Front
Louisville Fair. We had so much fun at the fair this year. I scored free tickets from a guy at the grocery store so we decided to venture to the fair. It is pretty expensive because you have to pay for parking along with your admission. The tickets we had covered everything. The kids loved the animals and we had fun eating yummy fair food.

The Baker family came with us and we had so much fun.

Going Private

I am finally going to make my blog private. I have been thinking about it for a while and after seeing most of my friends going private I am going to follow their lead. So if you would like to still read our blog please leave me your e-mail. Thanks!

Summer, Summer, and more Summer

Prepare yourself for picture overload. I am so far behind on blogging that I am just going to get a ton of it over with. Kyle and Kasen found two baby box turtles in our back yard. They kept them as pets for a little while, but decided that it was time for them to go back to their mommy. I guess our future with pets looks bleak. Sad I know, but it really was a lot of work taking care of them!
Saying goodbye. Kasen was actually a trooper about letting them go.
We also ventured to Chicago for a weekend. We had so much fun. We went to the Aquarium, walked State street, and walked along Michigan. It was a short but fun get away. The Aquarium was amazing. Kasen and Addie absolutely loved it.

Many of the exhibits had kid friendly exhibits that they could play on. Kasen loved the penguin slide and submarine.
Picture of Chicago along Lake Michigan.
At the Aquarium
Seriously, can we ever keep these boys out of the mud????

This is random, but I had to put this one on for Grandma's.
Kyle had a week off of school and we had a fun packed week. We went to Huber Farm and picked peaches. I made strawberry peach freezer jam and frozen peaches. Yummy!!

Kasen got a Tricycle for his birthday from Grandma Tracy and has been having a good time cruising around the neighborhood.
We took advantage of the free carousel rides at the zoo on Tuesday night.

The zoo also has a fun little splash park that we did to cool down.
I just can't believe how big she is starting to look:(
Playing in our blanket fort.
Kasen and Zach have became the best buddies over the summer. We have been enjoying the pool this summer!
Riding Go-Karts with Dad. Look at the sky. It started pouring rain while they were out.
